Senior ML Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ML Engineer to lead the technical delivery of bespoke AI solutions. You will work directly with senior consultants and client engineering teams to build models that operate securely within enterprise environments — from predictive maintenance pipelines to NLP-driven workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, train, and deploy ML models within client infrastructure with strict data sovereignty requirements.
• Build robust data pipelines integrating IoT feeds, ERP systems, and unstructured enterprise data sources.
• Collaborate with solutions architects to translate C-suite objectives into technical implementation roadmaps.
• Establish MLOps practices including monitoring, drift detection, and model recalibration frameworks.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical standards and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or applied data science.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience deploying models in production environments, not solely research contexts.
• Understanding of enterprise security, compliance, and data governance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

• Experience with LLM fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation in enterprise settings.
• Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks affecting AI deployment.
• Prior consultancy or professional services background.
